Update Sept. 26th, 2010

The attached Complaint deals with unsatisfied requests regarding amounts paid to several private law firms for their roles in representing the state in multi-state litigation against several major tobacco companies.  The private law firms included Stamford-based Silver, Golub & Teitell (of which Mr. Blumenthal is a former partner).  Major media reporting estimates that the amount paid to the private law firms was $60 million although the actual amount has been maintained secret.
